ॐ Sahaja Ministries †

Peace to you, my friend. This is Brahmachari Sahaja Bodha, and you've arrived at Sahaja Ministries, the overarching home for my spiritual outreach and accompaniment.

“Sahaja” is not only my name, but a Sanskrit word which symbolizes calm abidance, a still and resonant peace. “Ministry” derives from the Latin ministerium, denoting selfless service. The objective of Sahaja Ministries is to foster that sense of “sahaja”—calm abidance, still and resonant peace—in all whom I serve and accompany, through the sharing of the truth, goodness, and love which is common to all of us and which is our heart’s deepest home.

As you’ll see in my Curriculum Vitae, I lived and served for many good years as a Benedictine monk and priest in the Catholic Church. This was a life that I loved. I now live and serve as a brahmachari monk in the Advaita Vedanta tradition of the Sanatana Dharma. This, too, is a life that I love. Having a foot (and more importantly, a heart) lovingly and firmly planted in two perennial spiritual traditions is a “dual belonging”, one for which I am eternally grateful. But in a deeper sense, it is a belonging to all traditions—and in the ultimate and transcendent sense, to no tradition at all—for the love of God in, through, and beyond all names and forms, and in service of all people no matter their name or form.

My service is framed according to three basic touchstones: for the many, for the one, and for all.

My service for the many, “The Heart, a Home”, offers group-based retreats, spiritual talks, meditations, days of recollection, and satsangs. My service for the one, “Coaching with Counsel”, offers individually-based accompaniment. My service for all, "Resoundings: The Word and the Voice", features my written and spoken word offerings.
